Cheese Bars


Ingredients for Making Cheese Bars

  1. Cheese (hard) 250 gr.
  2. Milk (any fat content) 0.5 l.
  3. Premium wheat flour 200 gr.
  4. Butter 100 gr.
  5. Chicken eggs 5 pcs.
  6. Breadcrumbs to taste
  7. Vegetable oil for frying to taste

Cooking Cheese Bars:

Step 1: Cook the dough.

In a shallow pan, cut butter or margarine in arbitrary pieces and set to melt over medium heat. After that, remove the pan from the heat and pour the milk into the butter. Just wait until it cools down a little, otherwise the milk may curl (especially if it is not the first freshness). Mix the contents of the pan with a mixer until a homogeneous mass is formed. Then again put on medium heat and wait until the milk-cream mixture thickens. In order to avoid lumps, it is necessary to constantly stir the milk. Remove from heat. Take 3 eggs and separate the proteins from the yolks. Add the yolks to the mixture. Mix thoroughly. Cheese (I have Russian) rubbed on a coarse grater and also pour into a pan, mix. So, we take a baking dish, grease it with butter, put the cheese dough and put it in the refrigerator for about an hour (until the dough completely hardens).

Step 2: Cooking Cheese Bars

In a shallow bowl, beat two eggs. Pour flour in one plate, breadcrumbs in another. After an hour, we take out the cooled dough and cut it into bars, about 5 cm wide. We put the pan on a fire to warm up, after pouring the vegetable oil. We take a bar and dip it first in flour, then in an egg, and only then in breadcrumbs. And spread it in a frying pan. Fry on both sides until golden brown.

Step 3: Serve the cheese bars.

Cool the finished bars, and you can serve them with beer or white wine. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - In the dough, you can add greens or chopped ham.

- - To prevent the bars from being too greasy, place them on a paper towel that absorbs excess oil.

- - It is better to cook the dough in the evening and leave it overnight in the refrigerator.
