Dressy Christmas Tree Salad


Ingredients for the preparation of the Christmas tree salad

Cooking Christmas tree salad:

Step 1: Prepare the meat.

Chicken fillet must be thawed in advance on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator, then wash the meat with cold water, clean from the veins. It should be boiled until cooked in boiling water (20 - 30 minutes). Check the readiness of the meat with a fork.

Step 2: Cook the vegetables and eggs.

While cooking meat, prepare vegetables and eggs. After washing well, dip the potatoes and carrots into boiling water and cook until tender (15 - 20 minutes). Rinse the eggs, cook them hard (10 minutes after boiling). Onions must be peeled and washed with running cold water.

Step 3: Grind the ingredients.

Carrots, potatoes and eggs need to be peeled, then grate on a coarse or fine grater (as you like). Grind all the ingredients individually, without mixing. Cut the meat and onion very finely, salt the onion, pepper with black pepper and mash with a fork (let it brew for 10 minutes). You can either chop dill accurately or tear with twigs. Open the can of corn with a can opener.

Step 4: Put the salad in layers on a serving dish.

The first layer in the form of a Christmas tree is to put the potatoes, then onions and grease them with mayonnaise. Then pour the grated eggs and grease them with mayonnaise and salt. To decorate the Christmas tree, you can leave some carrots, cheese and corn.

Step 5: Dress up the Christmas tree.

The following layers: carrots, corn, salt and spread with mayonnaise. The last layers: grated cheese, mayonnaise and dill. In order for an ordinary Christmas tree to turn into a Christmas tree, it needs to be decorated: from the remains of corn kernels, grated cheese and carrots we form a garland. You can still salt the cheese garland, pepper with red pepper and sprinkle with turmeric.

Step 6: Serve the Christmas Tree Salad.

Place this salad in the center of the festive table, as the decorated Christmas tree is a symbol of the New Year. - - To prevent the cheese from drying out in the refrigerator, it is best to store it wrapped in foil.

- - If time is running out so as not to waste it on boiling chicken, you can use sausage (not smoked) instead.

- - If you have prepared more dishes than guests could eat, they can be placed in the refrigerator. But it is important to remember their shelf life in order to avoid health troubles: salads can be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 12 hours.
